Notes:

A1 to A4 recorded in NYC, March 8th 1927 by Clarence Williams And His Washboard Band A5 to A7 recorded in NYC, April 27th 1927 by Clarence Williams Blue Five Orchestra A8 to B2 recorded in NYC, June 7th 1927 by Clarence Williams And His Bottomland Orchestra B3 to B5 recorded in NYC, September 5th 1934 by Alabama Jug Band B6 to B8 recorded in NYC, October 3rd 1934 (name of the group not mentioned) Tracks A8 - B2 have another alto saxophonist listed as "unknown", but there are so many suggested artists with this word in their name, that I found it too complicated to find the right denomination. Vocalist for tracks A1 - A4 is listed as "unknown" on the record sleeve, but in the discographical notes on Chronological Classics CD Clarence Williams - 1927, the vocalist on the session from March 8th 1927 is named as Clarence Lee. The same source lists Carmelo Jari as clarinetist/alto saxophonist on this session. As I have no time to research this thoroughly and decide which one is the right one, I decided to go with the info provided in this record's discographical notes. As usual - corrections from more knowledgeable people are more than welcome!
